For the first in more than 40 years, Grand Old Days expanded across two days.

On Sunday, Grand Ave closed off to traffic for traditional block party-style fun from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Dale Ave to Prior Ave.

Fox 9 was the official sponsor of the event, which meant Kelcey Carlson, Ian Leonard, Alix Kendall, Tom Butler, Kelly O’Connell and Randy Meier all got to be grand marshals of the morning's parade.

On Saturday, much of the focus was on local businesses along Historic Grand Avenue.

Many took advantage of the promotional opportunity grand old days brings with promotions and sidewalk sales.

People could enjoy carnival rides in the kids adventure zone at Ramsey Middle School on both Saturday and Sunday.
