1 dead, 1 injured in head-on crash on I-94 near Sauk Centre

One person was killed and another was injured in a head-on crash involving a pickup truck and a semi on Interstate 94 west of Sauk Centre, Minnesota early Wednesday morning. 

According to the State Patrol, at about 3 a.m., a semi truck was travelling east on Interstate 94, approximately 2 miles west of Sauk Centre. A Silverado was heading west in the eastbound lanes of 94 in the same area. The vehicles hit head on, and the Silverado came to rest in median while semi entered right ditch.
 
The driver of the Silverado, a 78-year-old man, died in the crash. He was not wearing a seat belt. It is unknown if alcohol was a factor in the crash.

The crash is still under investigation.
