Valleyfair rides reopen this week following flooding closures

After shutting down several rides, and canceling its Fourth of July fireworks due to flooding, Valleyfair has announced it will reopen several rides by the end of the week.

River levels in Minnesota continue to drop following record flooding. Much of Harriet Island in St. Paul was submerged, but officials are hopeful things will dry out quickly enough for an upcoming music festival to proceed.

Water levels continue to drop after record flooding, and St. Paul officials are hoping things dry out quickly at Harriet Island so that a music festival planned on July 19-20 can go on as planned.

Wednesday is almost a carbon copy of Tuesday, with sunshine, warmth, and isolated rumbles throughout the day. A stray rumble is possible in the morning with an overall bright and warm early afternoon. Isolated downpours and thunder could last into the evening. Things turn steamy and dry on Thursday.
