It's the start of our deep freeze, but at least it will be quiet and sunny as temperatures hover within a few degrees of zero through Tuesday afternoon.

Clouds build throughout the day and snow flakes begin to culminate Monday. Two storm systems will provide snow throughout much of the state, with a dusting to half inch possible in the metro area.

Monday will be cold with a dash of light snow this afternoon through the evening commute (either side of a half inch in the metro). Watch for fresh slippery spots later on Monday. We're going subzero Monday night and frigid sunshine for Tuesday (expect subzero chills through Tuesday afternoon).
