President Donald Trump said the U.S. launched airstrikes in northwest Nigeria on Christmas night targeting ISIS militants he accused of killing Christians, calling the operation decisive and warning further attacks would follow if the violence continues.

The Hastings American Legion has unexpectedly shut its doors, leaving workers and patrons in the lurch. According to its Facebook page, the Hastings American Legion closed at 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve without any notice. On Dec. 22, they posted their kitchen would be open from 8-11 a.m., and the bar would be open from "10 a.m. – Slow Down."

When federal agents started their immigration crackdown in Minneapolis on Dec. 1, customers quickly dwindled at Bymore Mercado in St. Paul. The grocery store said it lost 75 percent of them within days.

The holiday travel rush is in full swing throughout the U.S., with AAA expecting more than 120 million people to be traveling at least 50 miles to gatherings nationwide the rest of the week.

As many Americans prepare to travel for their holiday gatherings, AAA is reporting that the national average for gas has dropped below $3 a gallon for the first time in four years.
