Eighteen local restaurants in the Greater Mankato Area are participating in the city?s first-ever Restaurant Week. Restaurants will offer specials and pre-fixe menus from Feb. 17-23. Participating restaurants include Nolabelle Kitchen + Bar, Number 4 Steakhouse, Pagliai?s Pizza and Tav on the Ave.

Blue Earth County officials shared footage of the County Road 9 bridge demolition on Wednesday. The bridge was set to be replaced after the nearby Rapidam Dam was breached in June 2024. The rushing water destroyed an Xcel Energy substation and caused a home along the bank to fall into the river. The nearby Dam Store was also demolished.

Officials previously said there was concern about the County Road 9 bridge, located just south of the dam, due to erosion. SkyFOX captured crews working to demolish the bridge on Jan. 7, 2025.
