Bear cub adjusts trail camera with 'surprisingly good results'

A bear cub in Northern Minnesota re-adjusted a Voyageurs Wolf Project trail camera, leading to the camera capturing some pretty good footage of wildlife in the Voyageurs National Park area. Researchers with the Voyageurs Wolf Project say the cub "did a much better job than most of its comrades" when it comes to adjusting trail cameras. And a few weeks later, the bear came and checked on the camera.

Minnesota bull moose captured on trail cameras

The Voyageurs Wolf Project on Friday shared a compilation of videos of a bull moose in northern Minnesota captured over the years. Researchers say moose are not common in the area but over the past few years they've captured "quite a few bulls on camera."

Rare 'blonde' wolf captured on camera by Minnesota researchers

The Voyageurs Wolf Project on Friday posted video to social media showing a rare 'blonde' wolf, saying it's a rare coat color for wolves in northern Minnesota and the first wolf with "light, creamy colored fur" they've captured on camera. (This video is looped.)

4 wolf pups in northern Minnesota captured on trail camera

The Voyageurs Wolf Project's trail camera captured video of four wolf pups from the Half-Moon Pack in the Voyageurs National Park area of northern Minnesota. Researchers just checked the trail cameras, with this footage (it's looped) being the first of the pack's pups this year. The video is from early August. Researchers say there's evidence the four pups have made it to September.

Bear cub being a 'twerp' in Northern Minnesota

The Voyageurs Wolf Project's trail camera captured video of a bear cub and its mom in Northern Minnesota, and the cub was acting like a "twerp," according to the researchers. "[The cub] was even driving his mom nuts! Once she laid down the law, the little punk, who was clearly distraught from his mother?s reprimand, decided it was time to let out his pent-up frustration on our camera."
