Providence Academy star Maddyn Greenway scores 4,000th career point

Maddyn Greenway hit a milestone Saturday night. The Providence Academy star and Kentucky basketball commit eclipsed 4,000 career points in a win at St. Michael-Albertville.

By the numbers

Why it matters: Greenway scored her 4,000th career point during the first half on a drive to the basket, and was immediately mobbed by teammates.

She is just the fourth player in Minnesota girls high school basketball history to reach the 4,000-point milestone. But she's the third this season, joining Minnehaha Academy's Addison Mack and Crosby-Ironton's Tori Oehrlein.

Providence Academy defeated St. Michael-Albertville 101-68.

What we know: It's 4,000 and counting for Maddyn Greenway, who is a member of the Class of 2026. She is verball committed to play basketball in college at Kentucky. She'll likely compete with Oehrlein for the Minnesota scoring title. Oehrlein has committed to play for Dawn Plitzuweit and the Gophers.
