A temperature reading over 60 degrees was reported at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport for the first time in 2021 around 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - The Twin Cities area hit 60 degrees Sunday for the first time in 2021.

Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport reported the Twin Cities’ first 60-degree temperature at 3:25 p.m. Sunday.

FOX 9’s Ian Leonard does polar plunge for Special Olympics

FOX 9 Chief Meteorologist Ian Leonard participated in a polar plunge as part of a fundraiser for Special Olympics Minnesota.

The last time the Twin Cities reached the 60s was back on Nov. 9, with a high of 66.
