Top Teacher 2019: Suzannah Toso

(FOX 9) - FOX 9’s second Top Teacher Award recipient is Suzannah Toso, a kindergarten teacher at Eagle Ridge Academy in Minnetonka, Minn.

Toso’s nominator says she finds creative ways to teach her students, such as making up special chants and songs to help them learn, while also inspiring excellence among others at the school.

“It's so exciting when students come in, and they are just learning their letters and learning their sounds. By the end, they're reading, and they're excited to read,” Toso said.

Toso’s school will receive $1,000 from Royal Credit Union to use on supplies. She also gets a subway sandwich party for 50 friends.
