Nice Ride offers Minneapolis free bike passes on Earth Day

Monday is Earth Day, and Nice Ride is offering free bike passes so Minnesotans can spend some more time outside.

Now in its ninth year, Nice Ride installed more than 575 more bike parking hubs and nearly 50 stations in Minneapolis. The company is also efforting to put more bikes in the Cedar-Riverside and north Minneapolis areas.

“Increasing access to a diversity of low-cost transit options is a cornerstone of our plan to make Minneapolis a greener and more connected city,” said Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey. “Nice Ride’s expansion and relaunch further those goals and move Minneapolis one step closer to having the transit system our city deserves.”

On April 22, riders can get their free day pass by downloading the Nice Ride app, choosing “day pass,” and entering the promo code EARTHDAY19. The pass gives you 24 hours of unlimited 30-minute rides.
