Minneapolis Police: Nobody hurt in officer-involved shooting Friday night
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (KMSP) - Minneapolis Police say officers fired one round at an individual Friday night, but nobody was shot or hurt in the incident.
At about 7:10 p.m. Friday evening, officers observed a large group congregating in the area of 30th Avenue and Colfax Avenue North in Minneapolis. Officers approached the group and they fled.
According to police, one individual had a handgun and officers pursued that person.
Officers ordered the person to drop the gun. The individual pulled their gun and officers fired one round at them.
The individual then dropped the gun and surrendered to police immediately. The suspect was taken into custody.
