ME: Mom, 2 kids dead in murder-suicide in rural Becker County
OGEMA, Minn. (FOX 9) - Authorities have identified the woman and her two children who were found dead at their home Monday in rural Becker County, Minnesota.
The bodies were found after authorities received a report of a possible incident at the family's home on the 26000 block of Beaver Trail in Ogema.
The Ramsey County Medical Examiner identified the victims as Emma LaRoque, 28, and her children, Shane Woods, 9, and Frederick York, 4. The medical examiner determined both children died of homicidal violence, and LaRoque shot and killed herself.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating the deaths. They do not believe there is a threat to the public.
