CONGRESSIONAL RACES: Rep. Keith Ellison (5th District), Rep. Tom Emmer (6th District) and Rep. Erik Paulsen (3rd District) each won their bids for re-election.
HISTORIC VOTE: Minneapolis voters have elected Ilhan Omar to the Minnesota House, making her the first Somali-American lawmaker in the nation. Omar will represent District 60B, which is home to the largest Somali population in America.

RECORD-BREAKING EARLY VOTING: More than 650,000 Minnesota already voted before Election Day, taking advantage of early voting an no-excuse absentee voting. For the 2012 election, that figure was just 267,000.
