Bicyclist struck by vehicle near Minikahda Club in Minneapolis
MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - Minneapolis police confirmed a bicyclist was struck by a vehicle on Excelsior Boulevard near the Minikahda Club in the West Calhoun neighborhood on Saturday afternoon.
Per Minneapolis Police spokesman John Elder: The bicyclist, an adult woman, was hit between France Avenue and 32nd Street and transported to Hennepin County Medical Center. On Sunday, she was listed in critical but stable condition.
The driver, an adult male, stopped after striking the bicyclist and remained on scene to cooperate with police. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
Eastbound Excelsior Boulevard was closed at France Avenue after the crash for police to investigate but reopened at 7 p.m.
