Winds of Change move through Minnesota

After a weekend that saw highs above freezing, and even above forty in some areas, the winds of change will take us back to a winter reality.

This strong blast of cold will be accompanied by just a bit of snow, about an inch in most places. The bigger story will be the winds, gusting to nearly 60 mph in southern Minnesota...

It will take another day for that area of low pressure to move far enough to our East for the winds to relax. It’s not just the strong winds and blowing snow through Monday but the cold that will filter in to the region through mid-week.

We will definitely see our highs go from above average to much below average, reminding us that this is still winter in Minnesota.
