Twin Cities metro sees first flurries of season Thursday

The Twin Cities metro saw its first flurries of the season Thursday morning. 

The National Weather Service reported flurries in Chanhassen, Minnesota between 3:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. and at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport at 5:15 a.m. There were also several other reports of flurries around the metro during the pre-dawn hours. 

The earliest flurries on record at MSP Airport is Sept. 15.
