The snow and wind that started Tuesday night is not making life any easier for anyone out and about Wednesday morning. 

The Twin Cities is set to see some snow overnight that, combined with winds and dropping temps, will create some difficult travel Wednesday morning.

Tuesday will be mild, but a dash of snow is on the way for the Twin Cities metro along with some strong winds that could cause travel concerns later tonight into Wednesday. 

A Minnesota couple turned the weekend’s bitter cold into an opportunity to have some fun, challenging each other to a water pistol duel. 

The NHL Winter Classic in Minnesota has set the record as the coldest game in NHL history. It's so cold the NHL is actually warming the ice for the game.

On a night with a temperatures below zero, the Minnesota Wild and St. Louis Blues will face off for Winter Classic at Target Field Saturday. Here's how fans are feeling about the cold.

The Twin Cities metro will be lucky to reach a high temperature of zero on Saturday. According to the Duluth office of the National Weather Service, the cold weather "winners" of the morning were Cass Lake with a wind chill of -52 and Effie with an actual air temperature of -38.

Wednesday was the coldest morning of the season so far with temperatures dropping as low as seven degrees below zero up in the Twin Cities and 22 below in northern Minnesota.

The City of Duluth declared its first ever snow emergency Tuesday as another snow storm hits the North Shore. 

Occasional light flakes will develop late Tuesday morning and into the evening, with a touch of freezing drizzle and mist on the tail end. Shovel quickly though, because temperatures will start to tumble.

The storm system that moved across Minnesota Sunday brought several inches of snow to the Twin Cities metro, as well as some ice accumulation.
