Bemidji Middle School paraprofessional accused of sending explicit Snapchats to student

A 30-year-old paraprofessional at Bemidji Middle School is accused of sending inappropriate photos and videos to a student via Snapchat. The para worked as a contractor through Teachers on Call, which is the same company that employed a Woodbury High School substitute teacher accused last year of reenacting the murder of George Floyd during a class.

Ice rescues alarm first responders

Several ice rescues throughout Minnesota this winter have tasked responders with saving people on thin ice ? despite officials giving numerous warnings about dangerous conditions.

Water access restrictions to Upper Red Lake

The Beltrami County Sheriff has added water access restrictions to Upper Red Lake after five ice rescues have occurred on the lake over the span of two weeks. All vehicles, including all-terrain vehicles, snowmobiles and all motorized vehicles are banned from the ice until at least next weekend.
