EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (KMSP) - The Minnesota Vikings vowed to fix their offensive line issues this off-season and their latest addition is certainly a step in the right direction. The Vikings signing Pro-Bowl offensive guard Alex Boone to a 4-year $26.5 million contract. Boone chatted about his decision to come to Minnesota and he says that the NFC North is the perfect fit for him. The reason? He loves to battle along the line each and every play and feels playing in the division that once was known as the Black and Blue division has been his dream.
The 6’8'' offensive lineman is also a soundbite machine and is certain to become a fan favorite.
Here are some of his gems from his first day as a Viking.
On meeting Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater…
“After 5 minutes I already love him and want to protect him.”
On his grandmother Noreen…
"She's full blown Irish -- crazy -- I love it....back in the day she was a renegade.”
On signing with the Vikings…
"When I found out they were interested, I told my agent I'd go to Minnesota over anyone.”
