World Cup brings out international flavor of Twin Cities

While the World Cup is half a world away, each game brings out the international flavor of the Twin Cities – especially at bar viewing parties.

Almost on the border of the Twin Cities and right near Minnesota United’s stadium, Dual Citizen Brewing is hoping to tap into soccer fandom.

“With the connection with the new stadium, light rail, up-and-coming neighborhood, we were very optimistic about the opportunity,” said.

With family connection to Costa Rica through Habitat for Humanity, the visiting Costa Rican club team Deportivo Saprissa are in town for a friendly match with Minnesota United.

The group gave them a tour of the brewery and a place to watch the World Cup.

Meanwhile, at Brit’s Pub in Minneapolis, another huge crowd gathered to watch France play Belgium.
