PIERCE COUNTY, Wis. (KMSP) - A 68-year-old western Wisconsin woman died Wednesday evening when the ATV she was riding lost its footing and rolled on top of her.
The woman was operating a four-wheeled ATV with a chemical attached to the back rack while spraying weeds in a hilly cow pasture in rural Pierce County. The ATV lost its footing and rolled down the hillside, coming to rest on top of her.
The woman was found by family members around 6 p.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not been released.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is investigating the crash.
