UPDATE: Body of missing man discovered in Sturgeon Lake
PINE COUNTY, Minn. (KMSP) - A missing man was found dead in Sturgeon Lake Monday afternoon in Pine County, Minnesota.
Around 4:40 p.m., rescue personnel recovered the body of 28-year-old John Fanning of Moose Lake. Fanning was reported missing after he jumped off the boat Sunday afternoon.
According to authorities, witnesses reported Fanning having trouble in the water before going under. A search effort had been underway since.
