APPLE VALLEY, Minn. (FOX 9) - During the temporary closure of the Minnesota Zoo, some unlikely friendships are forming among the animals.
Tamandua, penguins form unlikely friendship at Minnesota Zoo
Zookeepers at the Minnesota Zoo introduced Cricket the tamandua to the African penguins during the zoo's temporary closure for the COVID-19 pandemic.
The zoo shared a video of Cricket the Tamandua, a type of anteater, exploring near the African penguin habitat. The penguins seemed interested in her too.
The Minnesota Zoo closed to visitors last week due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
