Twins postpone Friday night's game against Detroit due to winter weather

Snow blankets the seats at Target Field ahead of Thursday's home opener.

Winter is coming for Game of Thrones and Twins fans this weekend.

The Twins announced Thursday that Friday night’s Game of Thrones night game against the Detroit Tigers has been postponed due to inclement weather. It will be made up Saturday, May 11 at 7:10 p.m. following the teams’ 1:10 p.m. game at Target Field.

Fans holding tickets for Friday’s game can use their tickets for admission to the rescheduled game in May. Also, they can use the amount they paid for the ticket toward any future Twins regular season game in 2019. Exchanges must be made at least 48 hours prior to the rescheduled game.

For the Game of Thrones fans who bought the theme night ticket package, they will have to redeem their package at the makeup game in May.

Tickets for the postponed games are not subject to refunds.

Fans are asked to visit twinsbaseball.com, call 612-338-9467 or visit the Target Field Ticket Office during normal business hours for more information on the teams’ postponed game policy.
