Teen driver, 11-year-old passenger hospitalized after crash near Paynesville, Minn.

PAYNESVILLE TOWNSHIP, Minn. (KMSP) - A teen is in the hospital and an 11-year-old is suffering from life-threatening injuries after a crash Wednesday morning near Paynesville, Minnesota.
According to state patrol, around 10 a.m., a Chrysler Town and Country was traveling east on Highway 23 when it crossed the center line and struck a westbound Freightliner Semi head-on. The 16-year-old driver and rear passenger of the Chrysler were airlifted to the hospital.
Everyone in the car was wearing a seat belt. Three other passengers sustained minor injuries.
