Teen dies in crash outside Thief River Falls, Minn.

An 18-year-old woman has died after a crash Thursday night in Excel Township, Minnesota.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, around 10:18 p.m., authorities responded to a crash at 240th Street NE and Highway 32. Authorities say the teen was driving a Dodge Caravan east on 240th St. NE as a Ford F-250 was heading northbound on Highway 32. The Dodge failed to stop at stop sign, slid through intersection, and was struck on the passenger side by the Ford. Both vehicles ended up in the ditch.

The teen driver has been identified as Heidi Annette Anenson of Thief River Falls. She was wearing a seat belt. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

The driver of the Ford and his passenger suffered non-life threatening injuries.
