Suspects identified in Salvation Army donation kettle theft

After more than a million views on Facebook, Blaine police officers have identified the two suspects captured on video stealing a Salvation Army donation kettle last week at a Northtown Cub Foods.

The surveillance video showed a woman using bolt cutters to cut the donation kettle from its stand, while a man stood by her and watched. The two then ran off and left the parking lot of the grocery store in a gray or silver vehicle.

Authorities shared the video on Facebook in hopes of tracking down the suspects.

Police are now referring the case to the Anoka County Attorney's Office for charges.
