Minnesota’s largest celebration of books is happening in downtown Minneapolis this weekend.

The Wordplay Festival is a three-day event that brought more than 100 authors to the city.

From printing demonstrations, various readings and even conversations surrounding real-life issues, there is something for everyone.

Some notable authors appearing at the festival included Stephen King and Amy Tan.

“It’s a really exciting opportunity to celebrate literature and visual literature as part of civic life,” said Elysa Voshell, the executive director of the Minnesota Center for Book Arts.

People attending the festival also had the opportunity to make work of their own, explore the studios and experience the work of poets.

The festival continues in downtown Minneapolis through Sunday with events happening on various stages.
