St. Paul Saints bringing back Internet Cat Video Festival

Feline fans fear not – the Internet Cat Video Festival will be back for another year. The St. Paul Saints and myTalk 107.1 have agreed to host the popular festival at CHS Field on August 9.

The Internet Cat Video Festival started at the Walker Art Center in 2012 as “the first offline celebration of cat videos.” But earlier this spring, the Walker announced it was putting an end to the festival after four successful years.

“When our staff heard that the Internet Cat Video Festival was not going to return this year they immediately rallied to bring the event back in 2016,” a representative for myTalk 107.1 said in a statement.

The 2016 Internet Cat Video festival will take place at CHS Field on August 9 at 8:30 p.m. Fans are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite cat-like costume.

Tickets for the event will go on sale June 7 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased online at saintsbaseball.com, over the phone at 651-644-6659 or at the Saints box office. Tickets are $10 and a portion of the proceeds benefit the Wags and Whiskers Animal Rescue of Minnesota.
