Portion of I-35W northbound to close overnight Friday
MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - A portion of I-35W northbound will be closing Friday evening into Saturday morning, while construction crews install the beams for the Franklin Avenue Bridge, according to Minnesota Department of Transportation officials.
From Friday night at 10 p.m. to Saturday at 5 a.m., northbound I-35W will be closed between I-94 and Highway 62.
The freeway will be open to the split and access to downtown along Highway 65 will stay open.
Drivers can take the detour from Highway 62 to Highway 100 to I-394 to eastbound I-94.
