Police searching for missing Savage man

SAVAGE, Minn. (KMSP) - Searchers spent another day looking for a Savage man missing now for more than a week. The missing man, a 38-year-old Martise Windom, is a father of two young children and his family and friends say he would never leave on his own. 

Police, along with volunteer searchers, focused their efforts on a wooded area behind Windom’s town home near Virginia Ave and 145th Street, but found no sign of the 38-year-old.

Noah Gregory, Windom’s god son, is now serving as the family's spokesperson.

“Called him, texted him, no response. And that's very rare for him,” Gregory said.

Police say Windom was last seen Saturday November 7th, and was reported missing three days later.

Friends believe Windom left his town home, to go for a walk in this wooded area.

“He's a runner so he likes to go on trails,” said Gregory. “And that's the number one thing, he would not leave his children, he's fought for them always making sure he was there for them

Friends say along with being an entrepreneur, he coaches a Lakeville youth basketball team

“Oh my god, so we pray for him. he's a good neighbor,” said neighbor Mana Pen who has just learned of Windom’s disappearance.

Family and friends are planning more searches.

“And do as much as we can to make sure we bring him home,” said Gregory.  

Mr. Windom is described as 6’2’’, 240 pounds, and believed to be wearing a black sweat suit along with white shoes.
