Police: 2 held captive while suspects ransack Waite Park home
WAITE PARK, Minn. (KMSP) - Two Waite Park, Minnesota residents told police two men held them captive for an hour while they ransacked their home late Thursday evening.
At 11:42 p.m., officers responded to an alarm call at a business on the 1500 block of County Road 137. Upon arrival, they found the side door to a business and the door to the adjacent private residence had been forced open.
The two occupants of the residence told police that two men armed with handguns and wearing facemasks had forced their way into their home. One of the men held the victims captive for about an hour while the other ransacked the home and the business, activating the alarm.
The suspects took jewelry and cash, but left the victims unharmed.
