Officials investigate fatal crash on Highway 7 in Carver County

(FOX 9) - Authorities are investigating a fatal crash Sunday afternoon in Carver County, Minnesota.

According to the state patrol, a Chrysler 300 was traveling east on Highway 7 near Polk Avenue in Watertown Township. A Kia Soul was heading west on Highway7. The Chrysler 300 crossed over the left lane of westbound traffic and into the right lane of westbound traffic, hitting the Kia Soul head on. 

The driver of the Chrysler was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
