Officials investigate collision between train and semi in northwestern Wisconsin
STANBERRY, Wis. (KMSP) - A semi truck carrying old railroad ties overturned after a collision with a train in Washburn County, Wisconsin, according to Wisconsin State Patrol.
Officials say the crash happened around 2:14 p.m. Monday just east of County Highway M on Stanberry Road in Stanberry, which is about nine miles west of Hayward.
The 82-year-old semi truck driver was driving westbound over the tracks when a train heading southbound hit the semitrailer in the rear, knocking the truck to the opposite side of the road and causing it to turn over.
No one was injured in the crash.
The incident is under investigation by Wisconsin State Patrol.
