North Minneapolis shooting: Woman found dead on Lyndale Ave.

MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - A shooting in north Minneapolis left one person dead Tuesday evening, according to Minneapolis police.

Around 9:50 p.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 1800 block of Lyndale Avenue North. Soon after, they received a report a body found in the 2200 block of Lyndale. Police believe the two reports are related.

When police arrived, they found a deceased female. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified the victim as Tyneshia Lashay Pate, 20, of Brooklyn Park, Minn. 

The case remains under investigation.
