Motorcyclist dies after hitting moose in Koochiching County, Minn.
KOOCHICHING COUNTY, Minn. (KMSP) - A motorcyclist has died after he struck a moose Saturday in Koochiching County, Minnesota.
According to state patrol, around 1:38 p.m., the man was heading north on Highway 6 when he struck a moose that was crossing near County Road 5.
The motorcyclist has been identified as 66-year-old Gary Allan Van Sickle from Milaca, Minn. He was wearing a helmet and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
