More than 80 locations to participate in National Drug Take Back Day Saturday

(KMSP) - If you've got any unwanted medications, this weekend might be a good time to get rid of them.
National Drug Take Back Day is this Saturday. It’s part of a nationwide effort to fight the opioid epidemic.
There will be 80 collection locations across the state, where you can drop off your medications. Those sites will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
According to the Hennepin County Sheriff’s office, seventy percent of prescription drug abusers say they got their supply of prescription medications from friends and family.
