Minnesota man killed, woman injured in motorcycle crash near Menomonie, Wis.

A man is dead and a woman is seriously injured after a motorcycle crash Saturday north of Menomonie, Wisconsin.

According to the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred just before 1:30 p.m. on State Road 64 at County Road Q in New Haven Township, Wis.

Investigators found a group of motorcycles were heading east on State Road 64 with the intention of turning south on County Road Q. As the motorcycles approached, however, the man struck the rear of the woman’s motorcycle in front of him.

Both riders fell from their motorcycles and neither were wearing helmets.

The woman was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Both riders were adults from Brooklyn Center, Minn.

The crash remains under investigation by the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
