MCGREGOR, Minn. (KMSP) - The Ramsey County Medical Examiner has determined the cause of death for two people found dead in a home in Aitkin County last week was murder-suicide.
On Tuesday, Nov. 27, deputies discovered the bodies of Laura Shingobe-Garbow, 62, and Matthew Garbow, 40, during a welfare check at a home southeast of McGregor in Spalding Township.
According to the medical examiner, Laura died of blunt force trauma injuries to the head. Her death was ruled a homicide. Matthew died of multiple sharp force injuries. His death was ruled a suicide.
The investigation remains ongoing.
