A large group of volunteers joined Wright County deputies and mounted patrols Monday morning to search for missing man Joe Brunn in the Otsego, Minn. and Elk River, Minn. areas. Brunn, 23, of Monticello, Minn, was last seen leaving Boondox Bar and Grille in Otsego around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, Oct. 3.

Brunn left behind his car and was last seen walking from the bar toward a cornfield. On Sunday, family and friends searched the cornfield and the banks of the nearby Mississippi River with no luck.

“It's just the worst nightmare,” one volunteer said. “Joe's a great family guy. 100 percent plugged into everything that family does, so for him to not report in or check in is unheard of."
