Around 1 a.m., a taxi driver called police to reported another man had carjacked his cab. Police caught up with the suspect on Minnetonka Boulevard after the taxi driver reportedly used GPS to locate the vehicle.

The chase eventually ended in crash when the driver lost control, striking a light pole and hitting another car in the intersection of Marshall Avenue and Western Avenue in St. Paul.
