Man dies after motorcycle, car collide in Hampton, Minn.

A man has died after a motorcycle and car collided Saturday afternoon in Hampton, Minnesota.

At approximately 4:45 p.m. a motorcycle was heading west on Highway 50 when an Oldsmobile Alero pulled out in front of the motorcycle.

The Alero was stopped at the bottom of the ramp on southbound Highway 52 to cross Highway 50. The driver's view was obstructed by another vehicle, so the driver slowly drove forward, saw a break in traffic and continued southbound across Highway 50, the crash report said.

The motorcycle then T-boned the Alero, throwing the driver from the Harley Davidson.

The driver of the motorcycle, 47-year-old William Daniel Slattery, was transported to North Memorial via Aircare. He later died from his injuries, a spokesperson for State Patrol said.
