Lee's Liquor Lounge in Minneapolis closing after 62 years
MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - A longtime Minneapolis bar will be closing its doors next month.
Lee's Liquor Lounge will be closing in mid-May, according to the general manager.
The city owns a nearby parking lot, which many of the bar's patrons use. Soon, that parking lot will be used for staging for the construction of the Southwest Light Rail. With limited parking in the area, bar leaders made the tough decision to close.
Lee's Liquor Lounge has been a fixture in Minneapolis for 62 years.
