Leather & Laces party kicks off Super Bowl celebrations

It’s one of the hottest parties this weekend. Hosted by Jenny McCarthy and her husband Donnie Wahlberg, Leather & Laces welcomed tons of celebrities to Minneapolis Friday night.

McCarthy has hosted the party several times before and said it’s never disappointed. Donnie said he really liked visiting the Mall of America and has met some of the nicest people here in Minnesota.

“It’s so cold that it would make one say they probably shouldn’t do a Super Bowl here, but the people are so nice that I would suffer through this cold again and again just to be around such courtesy,” he said.

Fox 9 also caught up with our contributor Ron Johnson who said he’s loving all the parties and activities and thinks Minneapolis is doing a great job of rolling out the red carpet.

“Now it’s the real Super Bowl…Friday and Saturday are going to pick up, and then Sunday’s the game,” he said.

Flo Rida performed later in night, but we caught up with him ahead of time.

“Anytime there’s a Super Bowl there’s a lot of energy, a lot of beautiful faces come out and support their team, I get a chance to show my passion…there’s always so much love,” he said.

Down the street at the Armory’s Club Nomadic, P!nk performed to a sold out crowd.
