Juvenile identified as suspect in Scott Co. incidents involving rocks in roadway
CREDIT RIVER TOWNSHIP, Minn. (KMSP) - A suspect has been identified in several incidents involving objects in the roadway that damaged cars in Scott County earlier this month.
The Scott County Sheriff's Office received several reports on Oct. 17 of objects in the roadway near the intersection of 217th Street East, also known as County Highway 8, and Dakota Avenue in Credit River Township. At least five vehicles were involved in accidents that day due to the objects and four of them sustained damage. No one was injured in any of the accidents.
The suspect is a juvenile and has not been arrested, according to Sheriff Kyle Hennen. The suspect is believed to have intentionally placed the objects in the road.
The sheriff's office has forwarded the case to the Scott County Attorney's Office for review and possible charges.
