I-35W closed between Minneapolis, Roseville this weekend

As has become the theme of the summer, this weekend will bring another set of road closures to the Twin Cities.

Southbound Interstate 35W will be closed between 4th Street in Minneapolis and County Road C in Roseville from 9 p.m. Friday until 5 p.m. Monday. Drivers will not have have access to southbound Highway 280 during the closure, but they will be able to get to northbound Highway 280 from I-94.

The other big road closure to watch out for this weekend is Highway 7 from Minnetonka to St. Louis Park. Highway 7 will be reduced to a single lane in both directions between Hopkins Crossroads and I-494 from 7 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

North of the metro, southbound I-35 is now down to two lanes at the north metro split between Lino Lakes and Forest Lake for the remainder of the summer through the fall. Motorists are warned to expect congestion and allow extra time. The northbound lanes of I-35 have reopened.
