Multiple agencies came to the rescue of a horse trapped in an icy creek Sunday at the Elm Creek Park Reserve.

According to the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office, around 3 p.m. Three Rivers Park Police responded to a report of a horse stuck in a creek. The owner told authorities his horse, Likira, ran away from him and went in the water.

After attaching a harness to Likira, a crew of about eight responders pulled the horse to dry land.

Likira appeared unhurt, was able to walk out of the park with its owner and is expected to be ok.

Three Rivers Park Police, Hennepin County Sheriff's Office, Dayton Police and Dayton Fire helped with the rescue.
