Heat Advisory issued for Twin Cities Metro Saturday

A Heat Advisory remains in effect for the Twin Cities metro until 6 p.m. Saturday evening with temperatures feeling like 97-100 degrees.

Saturday's early morning temperatures reached the low 70s, which is the average high for this time of year. The advisory includes both Hennepin and Ramsey counties.

With the combination of hot temperatures and high humidity, heat illnesses are possible for those active outdoors or susceptible to heat illness like children and the elderly.

People are advised to take extra precautions if they work or spend time outside and when possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening.
