Gophers heading to Quick Lane Bowl in Detroit Dec. 26

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (KMSP) - The Golden Gophers are heading to Detroit to participate in the Quick Lane Bowl, according to Head Coach P.J. Fleck.
Coach Fleck announced the University of Minnesota Football team will play in the Dec. 26 bowl game against Georgia Tech at Ford Field.
The Gophers qualified for bowl eligibility on the last day of the season when they took down Wisconsin and won Paul Bunyan’s Axe.
The Quick Lane Bowl will kick off at 4:15 p.m. central time on Dec. 26.
